Today the star of Azamgarh is shining. There was a time, when there was a program from Delhi and other states of the country joined it. Today the program is happening in Azamgarh and thousands of people from different corners of the country are joining us. I also welcome and congratulate the thousands of people who have joined.
Today, not only Azamgarh, but many development projects for the development of the entire country are starting from here. Azamgarh, which used to be counted among the backward areas of the country, today is writing a new chapter of development for the country. Today, with Azamgarh, projects worth around 34 thousand crore rupees in several states, have been publicized and the foundation stone has been laid. Apart from Azamgarh, new terminal buildings have been inaugurated at Shravasti, Moradabad, Chitrakoot, Aligarh, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Lucknow, Pune, Kolhapur, Delhi and Adampur airports. And how fast work has been done for these terminals, an example of this is the Vijaya Raje Scindia Airport in Gwalior. This airport has been completed in just 16 months. Today, the foundation stones of new terminal buildings are also laid at these three airports, Kadapa, Belagavi and Hubli. All these efforts will make air travel more comfortable and convenient for the common man of the country.
You see, for the past several days, due to my time constraints, I have been popularizing many projects of the country at one place. And when people hear that the country has so many airports, so many railway stations, so many airports, so many IIMs, so many AIIMS, people are going to be surprised. And sometimes the thought that used to be old is not even placed in the same frame. And what do you say? Hey, it’s all election season, isn’t it? Oh dear, what used to happen during election season? People sitting in earlier governments used to make announcements to throw dust in the eyes of the public. Sometimes they had so much courage that they used to announce new railway plans even in the Parliament. There is no one to ask later, and when I used to analyze, the announcement was made 30-30, 35-35 years ago, sometimes they used to throw stones before the elections.
Then they were lost, stones were also lost, leaders were also lost. That is, only announcements and I remember in the year 2019, when I used to announce any plan or lay the foundation stone, then the headline used to be that look it’s elections that’s why it’s happening. Today the country is watching, Modi is a man of second soil. Even in 2019, the foundation stones we laid were not kept for elections. Today we can see him landing on the ground, inaugurated and even today in 2024 please don’t look at it with the lens of elections. This is the campaign of my infinite journey of development and I am running fast towards the resolution of making the country a developed India by 2047, running the country fast friends. So much love of Azamgarh, so much affection people from all over the country are seeing connected today, seeing your enthusiasm and I am seeing more people basking in the sun than the number of people inside the pandal, brother, this love is amazing. .
